What This Learnership Offers

The uMngeni-uThukela Water Department is offering 20 one-year learnerships. These are for young people from deep rural parts of uMkhanyakude and uMzinto Districts in KwaZulu-Natal. The Umngeni-uThukela Water Learnership provides a National Certificate in Water and Waste Water Treatment (NQF Level 2).

It blends theory and practice. Learners will attend classes, complete a Portfolio of Evidence (POE), and get hands-on training at plants in Richards Bay and Jozini.

Who Can Apply

This opportunity is ideal for rural youth who want to grow in the water sector but lack enough points for university. It helps learners gain both a qualification and work experience.
