SAPOA Bursary 2026 Overview

What the Bursary Covers

The bursary offers full financial support for the study year. This includes:

Who Should Apply

You qualify if:

  • You are a South African citizen
  • Aged 18 to 35 by 2025 or 2026
  • You are currently in Matric or passed in past years
  • Planning to study a SAPOA-funded degree in 2026
  • You have not started a funded degree yet or want to restart

Required Documents (PDF Only)

  • ID copy (your own and your parent/guardian’s)
  • Proof of income for household
  • Matric results or Grade 11 report if still in Matric
  • 2026 university application proof, acceptance or waitlist
  • Motivational letter (max 1 page)

Applications are open online. Make sure you prepare all documents in advance. Only first-year applicants for 2026 can apply under this category.
