Looking for work experience in South Africa’s national parks?
The SANParks Internship is now open for the Tourism Monitors Programme. This opportunity lets young people work while learning how the tourism sector operates in real parks. From guest interaction to site maintenance, interns get to see how things work behind the scenes.
This programme is designed to support unemployed South African youth. If selected, you’ll receive hands-on training, a small monthly stipend, and access to real tourism work. The goal is to help you build skills that are useful in future jobs.
Interns will be placed across various SANParks-managed locations around South Africa. This means you could be working in peaceful reserves, wildlife-rich parks, or community-linked tourism hubs. The programme runs for a limited time and spots are few.
To apply, you must be a South African citizen, 18 to 35 years old, and currently unemployed. You also need to be ready to join for the full 7 months. Keep reading for full details.
The SANParks Tourism Monitors Programme is not just a job. It’s a learning experience built to help youth like you grow. Applications are now open. Don’t miss out on this rare chance.
